Logline:

Adama and the fleet are presented with the proposed alliance with the Cylon rebels. Natalie offers an enticing prize to win Roslin’s acceptance, but trust doesn’t follow so easily.

Episode Recap:

The Demetrius and the cylon basestar are nearly shotdown by the Galactica after a communications and FTL failure. Reuninted, Natalie and the other cylons make their plea to Adama and the president about destroying the resurrection hub.

Natalie informs Adama and Roslin that the five remaining cylons are in the colonial fleet and that only the D’anna’s (Number Three) can identify them. If the humans accept the cylon affair to join forces, the final five will be revealed and they can in-turn reveal the final path toward Earth.

And if the resurrection hub is destroyed, the cylons will lose the ability to “download,” thereby sealing their fate to mortality.

However, neigher side takes the alliance easily. They both plot to undermine the other. None of them plan another party getting involved to destroy any hope of unity between the two.

Things are getting hairy for Chief, Tory, Anders and Tigh—they know that once the D’Anna’s are unboxed, they’ll be revealed as cylons. But Anders is far more concered with Gaeta whom he shot aboard the Demetrius during the attempted mutiny. Gaeta has to have his leg amputated and sings himself songs to deal with his loss.

Baltar is also starting to cause problems. In his radio broadcasts, he announces that Roslin has been having visions that include Six and Athena chasing after Hera. In the end, Six always gets to Hera first and takes off. He leaves off the fact that he himself is in this vision.

Roslin confronts Tory about her relationship with Baltar. Roslin wants to know how Baltar found out about the visions and asks Tory to find out for her.

The Quorum of 12 is uneasy about all the secracy surrounding Roslin’s decision. She offers up Natalie to explain the situation in the hopes it’ll calm fears.

However, things are beginning to unravel. Hera wonders about the Galactica, only to be found by Natalie.

In a shocking turn of events, Athena shoots and mortally wounds Natalie. And just as the crew assembles upbard the basestar, Rolsin orders the hybrid to be plugged in. The basestar jumps away to an unknown location.
